On March 11th 2011, a 9.0M earthquake hit Japan causing structural damages, tsunamis, gas plantation explosions, nuclear power plant melt downs, etc., affecting the whole region of the upper half of Japan.
Today, even after many months, these affected areas still face difficulties. The Japanese government has been unorganized in publicizing clear information or working towards recovery, thus most help has been provided by NPOs and individuals so far.
Direct Universal Hope was founded in hopes of bringing back these communities. We noticed that many disaster affected areas around the world still suffer to recover even after years. This is why we focus on education. Rather than us continuously giving what they need, we want to give the communities the power so that they can stand on their own feet. We hope to provide them the capability of restoring, and even advancing beyond of what they have had.
